Job Overview This is a union position.The Billing Department is responsible for overseeing claim processing for SoCal DMH and SAPC County programs by collaborating with internal and external departments. Billing holds itself accountable for meeting regular goals and maintaining a safe and tranquil workplace. Billers utilities comprehensive and analytical skills to complete tasks with accuracy and efficiency. The Billing Specialist will process electronic billing and handle data entry by following the latest fee schedules and payment criteria of Medicare and Medicaid, and all commercial insurance into the County system. Billing specialist will handle denials and reconcile claims along with locating and correcting any discrepancy discovered within the given time frame to ensure all deadlines are met. Data entry experience.Experience using billing software; Sage, SanWITS, myAvatar, and Welligent preferred.
